“The Word”

“It took me being the victim of my life to finally realize that there was nobody coming to save me, and that only I could save myself. I surrounded myself with other people I thought I could help, or fix, when in truth I was only seeking to mend me. By focusing on others as if I was doing ‘the work’, I was actually avoiding it. Being with myself terrified me because once I slowed down everything I was running from caught up to me and all I really needed to do was slow down, lean in and listen. There is a sacred healing that lives within the pause, a certain freedom that’s awakened when we decide to be with ourselves, and not run or hide. It’s in this moment of choosing ourselves that we can meet ourselves where we’re at. That’s the moment we also invite love, belonging and our true worth into existence.” XO
